Once we lived in Hawaii. The above picture is of our little auxillary house we dubbed “the Tiki Room.” Our trail from there led to California where we now reside.
Why am I calling this blog Happy Trails?
Well, I was feeling a need for some Happy Trails, and thinking back I remember how much I loved Roy Rodgers and his horse Trigger and hearing The Sons of the Pioneers sing ”Happy Trails.”
I not western in the sense that I wear pearly shirts with sequined horses on them—well, I would if I could find the right one. I’m western in the sense that I use a western saddle, not an English one. I love the scent of horses. I love the country life, nature, long strolls through the woods, or the beach, whatever takes me out of doors. City life tickles me too, I just prefer living outside it—going to visit it.
I will, on this blog, when inspiration strikes, address the nature of reality…do you have a handle on it?
This is my grandson and me on a California beach.
